In 2018 4000 people were displaced when a fire ravaged through an informal settlement in Khayalitsha, Cape Town. Tragically this is a common occurrence throughout townships in South Africa, often leading to loss of life. Mzuvukile Monco is an entrepreneur who through his desire to use various low and high technology devices aims to prevent shack fires.

Phumie Sibisi’s first cake was for a friend’s baby shower. Besides impressing her friend, she surprised herself with the elegant caramel-chocolate concoction. Little did she know it would be the start of a new and delicious business. One very different to her career in customer service.

12 Step Trails was founded and is managed by Ruth Rudolph. Our programmes are co-facilitated by Lerato Kossie and Sharon Deal. In addition, we employ highly qualified outdoor and adventure specialists when these skills are required. Outdoor and adventure activities include rock climbing, abseiling and hiking.
KOOLA
Mthimkhulu now called Koola started out as the brain wave of Asive Myataza when she noticed a gap in the market in Cape Town, South Africa. Needing some bespoke, small volume branded clothing and gifts, she began to look online for something that would fit her needs and budget. Dissatisfied by what she found, Asive decided to buy her own machines and brand her own clothing.
